                                                           operation stability. Power dispatching faces great
                                                           challenges. Since last year, TSMC has cooperated
                                                           in running emergency generators to carry the load
                                                           due to insufficient backup capacity of Taipower. This
                                                           year, power curtailment measures will continue and
                                                           may even be more frequent. When the generator
                                                           status are changed from �emergency standby� to
                                                           �common�,  previous  maintenance  mechanisms
                                                           must be changed, and improved knowledgement
                                                           must be trained. In response to the trend of power
                                                           insufficiency, this article will further discuss how
                                                           to standardize generator maintenance, operational
                                                           risks improvement and operators education.
